Here are a few misconceptions about The Beatles that I think should be brought to light:

  • Day Tripper does not actually mean straight-away prostitute. The Beatles were singing about a druggie - one who "trips" in the daytime, who happened to have one-night stands. According to Wiki, A day-tripper is a person who visits a tourist destination or visitor attraction from his/her home and returns home on the same day.
Lennon: "Day trippers are people who go on a day trip, right? Usually on a ferryboat or something. But the song was kind of - you're just a weekend hippie. Get it?"
  • Mama Cass was impregnated by John Lennon, and when she called out his name, she was singing out to John. Actually, it was Michelle who made the shout out for John...Phillips, and another one to John Lennon. Oh yeah, Mama wasn't pregnant with either one's baby.
  • Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, although it may be a huge coincidence, LinSwD was originally a drawing made by John's son Julian about his classmate Lucy, in the sky, with diamonds. (Probably stars?)
  • Paul DID NOT DIE in 1966, 1967, 1968, or 1969. He is still alive and well and remains to be one of the most successful songwriters/musicians up to date. The whole thing was started by a DJ who admitted that it was a hoax. Hoax!
  • The Beatles did not sing about white power or were against Jews. Do you really think John would have married Yoko, or Paul have married Linda [Eastman], or George marrying Olivia [Arias]? Heck, Brian Epstein was Jewish! Jew power sounds more like it. Even Ringo looks like he has a "Jewish" nose. And no, Ringo is not Jewish. [source]
  • The Beatles were not Satanic! Do you think a band that sings about "Love, Love, Love" is satanic at all? You must be low on meds?
  • Paul McCartney breded all of England. If that were the case, wouldn't there be more handsome/pretty & talented people by now?
  • The Walrus was Paul. Uhh, check again! John said that he wrote Glass Onion and meant to confuse everybody. John was the walrus. He says this in the song God. I was the walrus, but now I'm John.
  • The Beatles and The Rolling Stones were each other's hugest rivals. As Keith Richards said, it was the exact opposite. They'd let each other know when their singles would come out and let each other have turns with releasing them.
  • George was the quiet Beatle. To me, George was not loud. He was smart like a fox, and had a dry sense of humor. Wilbury member Tom Petty said that George was the life of the party!
