On December 8 1980 the news that John Lennon had been shot dead caused shock waves around the world. The Day John Lennon Died is a brand new documentary for ITV1 that commemorates the 30th anniversary of the former Beatle's death by revisiting the key moments of that fateful day.The film retraces John's steps on the day leading up to his murder through the strikingly vivid recollections of those who came into contact with him. It features often emotional interviews with key figures, from wife Yoko Ono Lennon recalling her final moments with her husband, and fan Paul Goresh who was to take the famous photograph of John with his killer, Mark Chapman, to the radio host to whom he gave his last interview, the record producer who recorded John's final piece of music with him on the day,,and the doctor who battled to save his life.

I seen this on the Biography channel on TV. Very Thorough and Very Sad. A Very Good Documentary though!! Thanks for posting this!!
You're welcome, Beatle Bob!
This is one of the titles I'd refrain from watching, because, well it's very sad to think about, and it's one of the most touchy subjects for me Beatle-wise and in general. I felt like I had to watch it after seeing The Real John Lennon because I wanted to get more insight on what happened that day/night. And also, Yoko gets to say her word in it. Very sad and tragic indeed. I felt for her, not just because she's Yoko, but she was John's companion and the mother of his child. She looked after him until the end.
Wherever John's spirit is, I know he is still alive, whether in music, art, or in another worldly dimension. He was a very special human being, one that many of his fans could feel a special connection with.
Rest In Peace, John. Your legacy and your music will live on for generations to come.
