When one looks back at the Life of Paul one sees more than likely the greatest composer to ever walk the Earth. Yes its a bold statement but, its also a proven fact. His strongest work comes from the 60's and 70's era when his music was mostly driven about the good and positive things in Life.
When one looks back at the Life of Paul one sees more than likely the greatest composer to ever walk the Earth. Yes its a bold statement but, its also a proven fact. His strongest work comes from the 60's and 70's era when his music was mostly driven about the good and positive things in Life. His music helped mold many adolescent human minds into maybe seeing a more positive outlook on life, love, and compassion. So much unlike the caged animal sounds of Rapp songs or the current redundant output from Nashville. Yes Paul wrote those songs back when the notes were ripe for the picking. It was a time when if you didn't find and use those pretty notes and chord progressions, someone else might.

Paul was quick and very good. and from I understand had written many of his earliest tunes as a teen. Both Paul and Lennon would have been huge stars, even if they had never met and joined forces. They could have ended up having competing bands and both bands surely would have become huge superstars, with tremendous musical output. Ole George Martin has said their songwriting was like a competition, i believe the competition would have even been more fierce had they been in competing Liverpool acts..

( The Legacy ) - History has chosen very few composers to the pedestals of musical immorality. The most famous till now being Beethoven. Their music may be different but the musical reflectives and massive genius behind their work will survive until their is nothing else in this solar system surviving. I cant even think of another composers body of work being more powerful and dimensional as Paul's. I myself am not a man with a main focus of any type or form of music. I love music that has melody. and have thousands of favorite songs.I can go from listening to the Mills Brothers, Cyndi lauper, Merle Haggard, Satchmo, Dylan, The Beatles, Lady Antebellum and so on....So I am not biased by music, most people have their favorites, but my favorites have me, and their endless..

( The Weight ) - What is must be like to be the most famous man on Earth. Im sure it has its perks but i am also sure there are times when you would want to just be left alone. As anyone knows, it sounds like it might be cool to be famous and rich. In Pauls 50 plus years of being super-famous it is hard to find or even hear anything negative about Paul. You gotta hand it to the boy, he's a extremely intelligent and patient man. I would love to spend a day with Paul and see what its like to be in the middle of that hurricane, but wouldn't all his fans. lol

( In The End ) - When all is said and done were left with this amazing soundtrack to life and one of the best things about it is that its here forever. Paul and Johns works can always be counted on to reflect and categorize a point in ones life where their, "at that moment" in time has them. I on behalf of the billions of Sir Paul McCartney fans thank you for doing what ya did... .We Love you back.
John Lennon, songwriting, and 72 thousand years later....tag:beatlesabbeyroad.ning.com,2012-10-03:6286498:BlogPost:260012012-10-03T17:00:00.000ZSgt Pepper Steakhttp://beatlesabbeyroad.ning.com/profile/SgtPepperSteak

Anyone who truly knows John Lennon's entity of work knows that his music traverses all languages, religions and ethnicity. When i was a kid back n the mid 1970s (many year ago I am 45 now) i used to

listen to the Red and Blue Greatest hits albums over and over ..... I have a nice memory of a spot on, " In my Life" where i would uncontrollably yawn (where the C major goes to the C minor). Its a vivid memory and i still do it at that particular spot. I know, that's weird!!! I cant explain why that song has that affect on me.. I love the tune and its self describing true to life perturbations of ours or his life. Lennon could evoke many images with few words. Thats where a lot of his ability lies. His words could take you to anywhere your mind would let it. He gave it the road and you drove the car in a sense. Plus of course his uncanny ability to pull up great chord progressions and melody lines always gave the song a enticing melody for a hummable shortcut to our memory. His lyrics/words can make you go off into a endless number of life absorbing tangents. A more powerful simplified, edited, and much easier to focus on adaption of the stuff Dylan was composing back in those days. I have heard interviews where John would say he just threw some words together and a few nice chords.. It was so much more that to us. maybe simple to him, but in essence it was magical... So much more than just tossing out words to see where they land. Nobody gets that lucky on the scale his work encompasses.... His songwriting will be revered till forever..I love John Lennon's music and I am a better/happier person for having it "In My Life".. Thank You Johnny and happy 72st birthday . We all still shine on..
I met a Beatletag:beatlesabbeyroad.ning.com,2012-09-28:6286498:BlogPost:255692012-09-28T19:32:58.000ZSgt Pepper Steakhttp://beatlesabbeyroad.ning.com/profile/SgtPepperSteak

Back in Oct of 2007 Peter Best original drummer for the Beatles came to my little town here in nor-cal

I was excited because he played in my area back in 2002 but it happened to fall on the very day that my 2nd daughter was born. So my ticket went unused..lol Anyway I was excited because i was finally gonna see up close a beatle and maybe meet him.. The place he was playing was just a little club .. I showed up and placed by back against the wall and was joined by only about 30 people…

So my ticket went unused..lol Anyway I was excited because i was finally gonna see up close a beatle and maybe meet him.. The place he was playing was just a little club .. I showed up and placed by back against the wall and was joined by only about 30 people total.. I could see that Petes band had a little bit of uneasiness probably because of the low turnout, but still they charged on through the set of mostly Beatle numbers and other early rock covers. I being a professional musician by trade wanted to see for myself if Pete was a real drummer. To my amazement he kept up beat for beat with the other drummer. His brother Rogue was also playing drums..It was a crack show with great true to the song, singers and a on your feet feel.. Lots of energy and fun.. Macca should add more of those tunes to his shows.. Those early Beatle sets have lots of energy and are good clean fun..

As my professional opinion on his drumming.. Those Bealle recordings show the proof..Pete was a quick and clever drummer, but lacking in him was a straight ahead feel and steady meter.. Thats what was needed for in the songs the boys were writing at that time..Ringo isnt the most clever drummer and for what he lacks in he excelled in what the Beatles needed. .A simple drummer that keeps a steady beat is what they got from Ringo.. Ohh yeahh.. i met Pete and got his autograph..Nice guy.. He looked a bit nervous of me.. He did look me over as if I might be dangerous..lol Its a strange world out here..
Th day John Lennon passed and the 12 known music notes....tag:beatlesabbeyroad.ning.com,2012-09-16:6286498:BlogPost:244502012-09-16T16:33:44.000ZSgt Pepper Steakhttp://beatlesabbeyroad.ning.com/profile/SgtPepperSteak

I was 13 yrs old and very much a Beatles fan.. Not totally obsessed with them because back in 1980 there was still a lot of great new fresh music on the airwaves.. Who would have known then that by 1988 all the great music was written and everything after that year was more sub-standard then what i was raised on. Dont get me wrong, good music been made since then, its just not as abundant as it was once. You can only rearrange 12 musical notes so many ways before all the best ways are used…

I was an average 9th grader just sitting alone at home on a Monday night watching Monday might football. (yes i just said Monday 2 times) all of a sudden they announced that John Lennon had been shot.. I was thinking humm .. Not good.. Then a while later they announced that he indeed was gone..

As me just being a kid those days my thoughts were of a selfish nature. All i could think about was that there would never be a Beatles reunion. Beatles reunions speculation was huge in the pre-death years of John lennon.. The truth is a man had died that cold Dec Monday night . The world just lost a once in a lifetime songwriter, his sons lost their Daddy forever.
