A Beatle In Here!

We Are Counting Down The Days, at Mike Pell Rockollections:

The New Year 2018 is upon us, breathing down our necks.
I’ll start with a song that I’ve heard for years but never knew the correct title of, and that may be true for you too.
It has always made me think Party though!
After that, the Usual Suspects- New Years Eve, Counting Down, Years Gone and Coming, but from my maybe skewed view.
And how a New Year can bring a New World for you!
Give a listen, I haven’t done a New Years Show in a while!

It's perfect to play on New Year's Eve and at sporting events. I finally had a chance to listen to Part 2 of this show and it was great too! Happy 2018, Mike and Bob!

Found this: In 1947 the Joseph A. Ferko String Band made its first recording with PALDA Record Company. In the summer of 1955, they broke into Billboards top 100 with their version of "Alabama Jubilee" topping out at #14 and "You Are My Sunshine" #44. The week of July 16th 1955, "Alabama Jubilee" sold more copies than Fats Domino's "Ain't That A Shame" and Sammy Davis Jr.'s "That Old Black Magic". The Ferko String Band still plays these original arrangements today.

I really enjoyed hearing the classic song "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?", George Harrison's "Ding Dong", Europe's "The Final Countdown", The Specials' cover of Guy Lombardo's "Enjoy Yourself", "New World Coming" by Mama Cass Elliot and "This Will Be Our Year" by The Zombies, along with a few others. I only had time to hear Part 1 today but will give Part 2 a listen soon. Have a good 2018!
