I've always loved the [Nat King Cole] song called Nature Boy: 'There was a boy, a very strange and gentle boy...' He loves nature, and Mother Nature's Son was inspired by that song.

I'd always loved nature, and when Linda and I got together we discovered we had this deep love of nature in common.

Your comment about this song is Right On!!  It's a Beautiful song and a Beautiful piece of music!! And what you said.....and even though he grew up poor, he has this magnificent show for free.  "Nature's Beauty"!! I Love this song too!! I love this song. It's calming, spiritual, and just overall a beautiful piece of music. Paul's soothing voice is so calming, along with the simplicity of the lyrics telling us about a poor country boy who is enjoying another ordinary day out just sitting back in a field of grass while at the same time appreciating nature's beauty.
