So here's a start up to list all the Beatles references we've heard (or seen) in movies, songs, TV shows, etc.!

I've been on an '80s movie binge lately and "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" (1985) mentions Paul McCartney buying rights to locomotive sound effects. I think that's just a joke and didn't really happen lol

And "Sticky Fingers" (1988) mentions "The White Album" as one of the few things that got stolen when their apartment was robbed (didn't specify what format it was in though... vinyl, tape, or CD.)

And no, there's no Rolling Stones references in that movie eventhough "Sticky Fingers" is a Stones album.

Also in "Beverly Hills Cop 2" (1987) it says when playing Beatles music, the begonia flowers perk up.

How do I not remember the Paul reference in GJWTHFun?! I own that movie! It's just been too long, I guess...

Not sure if this really counts as a Beatles reference but speaking of '80s movies, at the end of "Lethal Weapon 2" the George Harrison song "Cheer Down" plays over the ending credits.

The song was first produced in 1989 for the film and accompanying soundtrack, released as a single to promote the film. It was later included in Greatest Hits compilations "Best Of Dark Horse" and "Let It Roll: Songs By George Harrison".

I thought that was interesting because other than that, none of The Beatles (together or apart) ever really released music specifically for a film that wasn't theirs (Unless you count those instrumental side projects like "Wonderwall" and "The Family Way".)

That's something I never really thought of before until now. Maybe I just think too much... lol.

In the movie "Rain Man" there's a brief moment when they sing a little bit of "I Saw Her Standing There" and say "So you liked The Beatles?"

In the song "And We Danced" by The Hooters the lyrics say "She was a Be-Bop-Baby on A Hard Day's Night". I love that line because it both references The Beatles and Ricky Nelson, my two favorites. :-)

I was watching a super crappy horror movie today and was surprised to see Beatles in it!

Yes, I'm quite a Bond fan, have all the movies. Soon as I saw this discussion I knew what to put. I said to myself, I'll bet I can find a video of it, and here it is.

I have seen almost all of the Bond movies too and I remember that from Goldfinger also!

Beatlebob that made me laugh too! It's from a movie called "Bad Taste".  Appropriately titled! LOL!!! I thought the film sucked so much it was funny. Hard to believe it was by the same director of Lord Of The Rings. But it was his directorial debut! Those big Sgt Pepper cardboard cutout things in that car are cool! I noticed they have a shocked facial expression, especially cardboard Paul! LOL!!!!
