Beatles Q 2013

The Beatles are featured on the cover of a Beatles special Q Magazine this month - Paul has done an interview for the article on his memories of the band and recording Please Please Me:

"Q: What are your memories of that Monday? George Martin had wanted you to record in the Cavern Club in Liverpool to recreate your live sound, but here you were, making your first album in Abbey Road.

Paul: Having a right laugh in the studio. We found the whole thing quite funny - we had to come in the back entrance, because we were not allowed in the control room. [Leans into receiver] "Get out, lads!" So we were like a gang of cheeky schoolboys sneaking in there, looking up at the glass and giggling a bit. To be given a chance was exciting, but we were quite amused by it at the same time."
