I see you agree that his expression is reflecting sadness! :-( I'm Sad to hear that you can relate!! :-( Because Your Dad wasn't there for You all the time either!! I see you know what it feels like to have a parent abandon you when it was convenient or necessary to their livelihood!! :-( Just like with Julian!!I'm glad to know that Julian has made his peace with this now!!

"Long before the world-wide success of the single ‘Saltwater” in 1991 and before ‘Inconvenient Truth’ was even a sparkle in Al Gore’s eye, Julian Lennon cared deeply about our planet and he continues to do so. Julian focuses on ways that we can all make a difference, in what has become a sensitively-balanced world. Symbolically, a white feather has personal meaning for Julian and therefore it became a natural name for his Foundation."

"Dad once said to me, that should he pass away, if there was some way of letting me know he was going to be ok – that we were all going to be ok – the message would come to me in the form of a White Feather. Then something happened to me, whilst on tour with the album, Photograph Smile, in Australia. I was presented with a White Feather by an Aboriginal tribal elder, from The Mirning people, which definitely took my breath away.
The White Feather Foundation was created for the purpose of giving a voice and support to those who cannot be heard. The tribal elders asked for my help, as I could bring awareness to their plight and to others who were suffering the same. Having had the White Feather bestowed upon me, I knew this endeavour was to be part of my destiny. One thing for sure is that the White Feather has always represented peace to me, as well as communication…
~ Julian Lennon, 2009"

Aww, after you said all of that, I can clearly see now that his expression is reflecting sadness! :( As I'm here listening to "Hey Jude, take a bad song, and make it better" I can very much relate to what he was feeling at the time. My dad wasn't there for me all the time either, so I know what it feels like to have a parent abandon me when it was convenient or necessary to their livelihood. It's good to know now that Julian has made peace.

I follow him on Facebook where he posts links to his philanthrophic interests, especially the White Feather Foundation, which features a collective of environmental and humanitarian issues. Every project is funded by donors or assisted by programs, and I'm so hopeful that there are people who give their time and money to these causes.

I commend Julian for doing a really great job with helping humans & the Earth!

I Understand!!! I'm the same way!!
IF you do change your mind, I still would Love to see it!! :-)

I Love that Julian is holding a poster of his father too!! It IS Pretty COOL!!
We all know that Julian had a strained relationship with John for many years up until
just a few years before John's death. In those few later years, they got to know each other better and saw each other more often.
In This Beatles photo shoot by Avedon in 1967, they all looked expressionless!
I think Jules' expression Is Reflecting Sadness!! :-( Because both Jules' and John were "Just Starting Over" before John's death.

Yeah, I'm very self-critical so I don't really want to share any of that sorts here!!! But maybe if I change my mind I'll post it here! :D

I love that Julian is holding a poster of his father. Pretty cool. I wonder though what Jules' expression is saying? Sadness? John's expression isn't saying much, either. What do you think?
