You're very welcome!!! Thanks for sharing all that, Beatlebob! But, at that hefty price, I would rather just look at pics of it online! Lmfao!
WOW!!! That Sure IS one Awesome "Ticket To Ride"!!!
Thanks so much for the Link!! :-))
This July, a wealthy Beatles fan could very well buy a real "Ticket to Ride."
John Lennon's 1965 Ferrari will cross the auction block at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the U.K. on July 12. According to auction house Bonhams, after recording the "Ticket to Ride" hit single in February 1965, the singer bought this blue-on-blue 330GT 2+2 Coupe on the very same day he received his driver's license – at age 25, no less.
That day, Lennon had the showroom brought to him. Local dealerships, having heard the news of his license, flooded his Surrey home with exotic cars. Lennon walked outside and soon chose this 330GT for £6,500 – roughly $171,000 in 2013 dollars – no doubt a slap in the face to the Aston Martin and Jaguar reps hoping he'd side with the British.
Lennon put more than 20,000 miles on the car before selling it in 1967. It was later painted red and then restored to its Azzuro blue shade, including Lennon's original license plate.
Bonhams said the Ferrari is one of about 500 built and expects it to sell for between $280,000 and $342,000. For a Ferrari, especially one owned by a celebrity of Lennon's caliber, that's cheap.
So Cool!!!! :-))
Thanks Sadie!! :-) Have a FAB weekend!!
Beatlebob, this article says John didn't get his liscence until he was 25 lol!

His car is up for sale! That is one awesome "ticket to ride"! :)
I couldn't wait to get my driver's license!! I got mine as soon as I turned 18.
LMAO Sadie!! I wouldn't think having mental problems would have any effect on your driving!! Unless your mental problems made you see things that weren't there, or visa versa. LOL! ;-)
Baby, you can drive my car!
Lol I read that John waited all the way til he was 21 to finally get his official driver's license!!!
I'm almost 24 and still don't have mine yet! I'm not really recommended to be driving though because I have mental problems and I could easily get into an accident! Lmao!
