The Annual Two-Week Christmas Party continues!
And I see now we can pop Hanukkah in there too.
This time I'll continue a tradition started a long time ago.
I'll play the Beatles Christmas Message of 1964- since it is 2014, keeping that close distance of 50 years!
These are the little plexidiscs they would send to their Fan Club Members- but 50 years...do you believe that, oh man, lol?
Also I'll do something I've been meaning to do for years, but always got distracted by other Music.
At long last, I will play the Emerson, Lake & Palmer Christmas EP all the way through!
This 2nd half went fast, I was shocked to find I couldn't play any more Music.
But see, that's why it takes at least two weeks for the Christmas Party.

Thanks so much for those kind words.

Oh man,you saw Van Morrison at the Fillmore East!

I went there as a kid, among a bunch of hippies older than me- they'd pass a joint and I'd pretend to smoke it, lol!
I only lived a few blocks away on 13th Street.

Thought a lot of people hadn't heard the heard the Christmas EP by ELP, so it seemed like a good idea to play it.

Surprised you never heard that Christmas message from The Beatles!

Too bad I can't get you to hear last year's, which was their first from 1963.

They did one every year from 1963 to 1969, and I have them all.

Let's keep doing what we do so well and Happy New Year!

I Love Van Morrison! It was a treat hearing the song by Van! I seen Van Morrison in April 1970 at the Fillmore East with my elder cousin. One of four concerts I seen there. I also, Loved ELP! And I remember that song you played by Greg Lake. But, I never heard the Christmas album by ELP. That was a treat too! And WOW! So Cool you have those Beatles' plexidiscs they sent to their Fan Club Members!! I Loved listening to that! I never heard that Christmas message from The Beatles!! I Really Enjoyed it!! Thanks So Much!! I Really Enjoyed this podcast too!!! :-)
