There is a song in here by Ronnie Spector, co-written by George Harrison & Phil Spector, that I can almost guarantee you have never heard!
Barbecue Leftovers And More, at Mike Pell Rockollections:

Bob,
I'll write you by email!
Mike
Sadie,
Thanks I made it the 4th Of July through safely, hope you did too, lol!
You liked the Food Show eh?
Tennessee Ernie and especially Hasil Adkins I thought twice about.
But I am adventurous, lol!
Oh wait- I don't have Sirius XM, THEY play Hasil Adkins?
You're good, and listen to the right Music, rockabilly & psychedelic, my own two favorites!
I've always liked Something Happened To Me Yesterday, and it's true how I happened to play it.
The Pink Floyd Bike made me think of it for obvious reasons, and it seemed the perfect closer.
Who's heard Tandoori Chicken?
That makes TWO of us, LOL!
Sax And The City continues on, and I think Pts. 5 & 6 are as good as anything I've done, at least lately.
It was my pleasure to add you to the list!
And at the last moment I decided to do an Independence Day Show.
Thanks for listening and writing, welcome aboard, it's a CULT, lol,
Mike
Hello again Mike, just wanted to say thanks for adding me to the mailing list for "Rockollections"! Looking forward to all your future shows! Have a safe and happy Independence Day!
Hey Mike, Your food episode is great! "Sunday Barbecue" by Tennessee Ernie Ford and "No More Hot Dogs" by Hasil Adkins are rare songs that you don't hear too often. I read that "Sunday Barbecue" was only on the Billboard charts for a week and it's highest position was #97 which is a shame since it's a good song. When most people think of Tennessee Ernie Ford, it's always "Sixteen Tons".
I first heard the Hasil Adkins song played on the 50s station on Sirius XM Radio and it still cracks me up every time I hear it! He really was multi-talented as well as a nut! LOL! I love rockabilly & psychedelic music! Your 'Summer Of Love' series that Beatlebob mentioned is such a favorite of mine that I listened to every single part of it. I always loved that album called "Between The Buttons" by The Rolling Stones. Thanks for playing the closing track called "Something Happened To Me Yesterday". I think alot of the early Stones stuff is so underrated. I actually had heard “Tandoori Chicken” before but it certainly is a rarity. I enjoyed your "Sax And The City" series too.
Thanks for sharing all these great episodes with us! Beatlebob said you have a mailing list for your "Rockollections" show and I'd love to join it! I sent you a private message on this site with my email address. The podcast sites notify me when you put up new ones but I'd still love to read your little sneak previews of each show, even when there's nothing Beatles or Beatle related in it. Looking forward to any patriotic themed show you might do for Independence Day soon? Have a great 4th of July!
Sadie
Mike,
I just listened to your Summer Of Love series.
1967 AND THE SUMMER OF LOVE PT.13:
I'm glad you borrowed that song from your friend James!! The Jefferson Airplane....What a GREAT Song!! Summer Of Love! Cool that all the members joined again to play that song!
I sure remember the protest songs you played! Country Joe And The Fish, Buffalo Springfield, and the Neil Young song with the Buffalo Springfield. A Great Band!!
Sure remember The Doors - People Are Strange!!
The LOVE band song Alone Again Or and You Set The Scene were Great Songs!!
"If you are an old movie lover like I am, the TCM type, the comparison that begs to be made is that 1967 was to Music, what 1939 was to Movies."
Loved that analogy!!
ROCKOLLECTIONS: 1967 AND THE SUMMER OF LOVE PT.14

The Respect cover by Leslie West and the Vagrants was Cool to hear.
I don't remember Pink Floyd - "Bike". But, was a Weird Song!! Pure genius and lots of LSD!! LOL!!! ;-)

"This is an interesting chapter with some unusual musical choices I can't explain- it was just the mood I was in at the time, but I love that Free-Form Freedom!"
