Got Beatle George playing in here!
More Sax Songs You May Have Forgotten, at Mike Pell Rockollections:
I’ll start this Chapter with a Cover Song that did better on the Charts than the Original, and a Sax in there you may have forgotten.
Sax And The City moves on with an unusual Instrumental co-written by the unlikely pairing of Duane Eddy and Ravi Shankar!
Really, lol!
And has more than a slight Traveling Wilburys Vibe for good reason!
Some outstanding Tunes in here, trust me.
And I’ll close this Show again with a Long Cut, where you have to wait for the Saxophone, but it’s worth it.
I’ve got one more good Sax And The City in me- maybe next week, maybe not!
Give a listen to this one, I think you’ll you enjoy it!

Sadie,
I kinda like that Trembler tune too now, it was new to me also, I just happened to come across it.
I thought people would have been expecting Turn The Page, not so much Shine On You Crazy Diamond.
I LOVE that element of surprise, lol!
As for building a house with song, the fact you even KNOW “Little Boxes” makes you special- proud of you!
Hendrix's "Red House" and "Our House" by Crosby Stills Nash & Young are Classics! But that Paul McCartney'"I Love This House" was way out there, lol!
The Babe & The King, how about that?
I was on vacation when Aretha died, why I am behind in writing.
And the Yankees are your favorite baseball team?
I never knew, lol!
Thanks for the tip on Sirius XM, I don’t really listen to Radio anymore.
Come to think of it I only listen to ME, LOL!
I’ll TRY to keep up the good work and you’re a good listener!
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike
Hello again Mike, I also wanted to say thanks for forwarding by e-mail that article about Babe Ruth. The Yankees are my favorite baseball team and I really enjoyed reading that! I didn't realize his death anniversary was on August 16. I always think of that day as Elvis Day, and now it is sadly also the day we lost Aretha Franklin. RIP to the King Of Rock & Roll, Queen Of Soul, and a Sports legend!
I remember you said you don't have Sirius XM. I think you'd really enjoy it! Especially The Beatles channel! No need for any special radio or device, you can just listen to it online, like I do. You can easily sign up for a one month free trial and right now they are offering 3 free months free. Enjoy! :-)
Hey Mike, I'm still enjoying your "Rockollections" show and thanks again for adding me to the mailing list. The saxophone theme is great. I had never heard that "Trembler" instrumental before, but now I love it! Thanks for introducing me to it. I also enjoyed hearing Bob Seger's "Turn The Page" and Pink Floyd's "Shine On You Crazy Diamond". Your episodes about building a house with song are enjoyable too! I also thought that was a great theme. I haven't heard "Little Boxes" in forever. I like that song and Jimi Hendrix's "Red House" too. I love "Our House" by Crosby Stills Nash & Young! And of course the interesting highlight of Part 4 was Paul McCartney's obscure jam "I Love This House" featuring David Gilmour. Fantastic song choices! Keep up the good work, my friend! Have a great day! :-)
