ROCKOLLECTIONS: SHOW ABOUT NOTHING PT.1

Sadie & Bob,

I just remembered, it ain't the Beatles lol, but Rick Nelson is in here!

Alright, admittedly these shows are inspired by the great Seinfeld television program.
There will be some sound bites from it.
One interesting thing, while picking out songs for this show I discovered there are a lot of them written about people who have Nothing To Say.
I'll play some.
Other than that, I have NOTHING more to write!
Think you will like this!

Sadie,

I was all enthusiastic about doing the show yesterday until the rug was pulled out from under me by computer problems.

Got no show for next week.

October was a BAD month alright, glad it's over!

Sorry to hear about Beatlebob's infection and the death of Mike Pell's friend!
Yes, like Anthony Capucci said: try to keep a positive attitude!

I don't think I could pick a favorite Kinks song either.
They have so many good ones!
I really like that song "Nothing To Say" and the whole "Arthur (Or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire)" album.
And yes, there's nothing by Rick Nelson that's obscure to me! lol!
That song wasn't on an album, but it was a single with "Lonely Corner" as the B-side.

Thanks, I do know alot about music too and miss hosting my own podcast series but my life has been complex lately which prevents me from doing so.
I know you all understand.

Just like that song by The Fortunes "You've got your troubles, I've got mine".

Try to have a better November, everyone! :-)

Bob,
Good memory with the Garden Party!
Rick sang about Yoko & the Walrus.
You got all of us on your side.
I am having my problems too.
I'll write to you privately.
All the best,
Mike

Sorry I haven't been here in a while!
I've been Ill since the second or third week of September with "Prostatitis" An infection in my Prostate.
Been on 2 Medications for it and had a few tests done. Not only the Prostatitis has me feeling
Very Ill, the two medications make me feel even worse!! I lost a lot of weight and feel weak and
lousy!! I don't sleep most of the night, going to the bathroom a lot. Been nodding off during the day.
And this Saga continues!!! More Tests coming my way, etc! Just wanted to let you know why I haven't been here in a while.  (Well, enough about this!)
When I'm Hopefully feeling Better, will be back here again!!

Anthony,
Nice call on Garden Party!
And I could have let Sadie answer for me, she is so sharp, lol!
Not only is it clear that he was talking about John and Yoko in there, but many others.
So many, it was on one of my Namedropping shows!
Thanks for listening and writing,
Mike

Sadie,
The you really know your Rick Nelson, because that is an obscure one.
You are a true fan.
And I just happened to play Nothing To Say by The Kinks-  which may be your favorite song  them.
I was on a roll!
I have so many faves by the Kinks, I can't pick- Rick Nelson either.
Yes, I was full of Nothing here, lol!
No, I'll be sitting out Halloween this year and continuing with this Series.
I was knocked off schedule by my old pal of over 35 years getting sick and dying!
Thanks for listening and writing,
Mike

Yes Anthony, the song "Garden Party" is by Rick Nelson and yes, it does mention John and Yoko in the lyrics. Mike has played that song on his podcast show before! :-)
