Nice to read about his comments on Another Day today because two days ago, I realised my life is sort of similar to that...and I even joke Paul wrote that song for me. :)

Me too! A few months ago, I remember being in a store, feeling down. Then I heard "Another Day" coming from the intercom. It was even on the "Sometimes she feels so sad..." lyric. I ended up leaving that store with a smile!

Same here! "Sometimes, she feels so sad. Alone in her apartment she dwell, 'til the man of her dreams come to break the spell."

Question: Do you still like all the lyrics you wrote in the past, and are there any that you don’t like anymore? And, of course, I want to know why if the answer is no!

Paul: “There are lyrics I’m embarrassed by. Like in ‘Rockshow’ – references to ‘axe’ and Jimmy Page – they seem a little bit dated. But they are. That’s exactly what they are.

“What made me less embarrassed was when I said this to a couple of the guys in the band, Rusty and Brian particularly. I said, ‘Oh my god, I can’t stand that – An axe! Jimmy Page!’. I’m going, ‘Oh God, it just doesn’t seem right now, it seems embarrassing’. They said, ‘No, I love that!’

“So it was great. I got their perspective on it, and it sort of made it alright that they didn’t think it was remotely embarrassing.”

Beautiful song, meaninfull lyrics that applies also to our life not only to  the video game.

Thanks BeatleGirl!! And Thanks for the one Above ^ too!! Cool!!

 "Hope For The Future":

I thought it was pretty Cool! He's always looking into new things to do. I Like the song more than the video itself! Call me old fashioned! LOL! Here is some more information about this:

I Really Like the Lyrics!!

 "Hope For The Future"

Some hope for the future
some wait for the call
to say that the days ahead
will be the best of all

We will build bridges
up to the sky
heavenly light surrounding you and I

From out of the darkness
our future will come
if we leave the past behind
we'll fly beyond the sun

We'll be together
sharing the load
watching in wonder as our lives unfold

Hope for the future
It's coming soon enough
How much can we achieve?

Hope for the future
It will belong to us
if we believe
if we believe

Hope shines brightest
in the dark
where nothing's ever seen

Lighting undiscovered places
no one's ever been

[Guitar Solo]

Some hope for the future
some wait for the call
to say that our destiny
will be the best of all

And we will build bridges
up to the sky
heavenly light surrounding you and I

Hope shines brightest
in the dark
where nothing's ever seen

Lighting undiscovered places
no one's ever been

Hope for the future
Hope for the future
Hope for the future.

That new Video kind of reminds me of this one. LOL!  ;-)

I didn't understand this video. Really far out...sort of glitter rock? Beautiful. But the song is not appropriated for this video. I mean, I didn't see the meaning, but maybe some of you know the answer. I heard a time ago he wrote this song answering John who had said that he could only make silly love songs. That would be his answer. I love Paul so much, but this song is not among my favourites. It sounds...silly. LOL. And then a video so amazing like this. Doesn't match.

Well that "Silly Love Songs" video is from "Give My Regards To Broad Street" which is a silly, campy movie. That explains the video. I hate to admit this, but honestly, I never liked that song much either. LOL! Glad I'm not the only one, Virginia!

Beatlebob, I agree. Even though the new video looks cool, I think "Hope For The Future" would've been better with a video that's less over the top. It's a good song. Plus Paul already dabbled in the futuristic theme with the "Appreciate" video. I was disappointed he chose to do a video for that song and "Early Days". I think he has quite a few better songs on that album that I'd rather see videos for. I sound too overly critical on poor Paul tonight, LOL. I Love him!  Thanks for the lyrics, Beatlebob!

Thank you, Sadie Rita. I saw "Give my Regards to Broad Street " a couple of times..I could not remember this part. Such a long time ago. Me and my mother watching it together. She liked Paul very much. I confess I enjoyed that movie. The only thing I disliked was the end. No inspiration to finish it. I took it as a long video clip to promote Paul McCartney singing new versions of early classics and some new songs too. I had to love that...just to see him there was good for me. I  remember enjoyed a lot what they did for Ballroom dancing song. Besides.. I had some strange sensations now and then and it happened while watching it.  We can see him as if he was a person in another century...with a dog. When I saw that i thought he was a friend of mine...As if I also have lived at that time and we were close to each other. I even cried a little ...missing that friend! How silly is that?  Anyway, what a pity they could not come out with a fantastic closing...Just a dream? Too cliche for me. I am surprised I could not remember they singing Silly love songs in that movie...I should have remembered because I like this kind of fantasy...Yes, I was totally fascinated by Ziggy Stardust. LOL

I like David Bowie too, and some glam rock. But it just looks silly on Paul. LOL!

It's OK if you don't remember that part from Broadstreet. It's been a long time since I've watched it too. I used to like the Ballroom Dancing part also! I even liked that version of the song better than the album one. And I get strange sensations like that all the time too when watching The Beatles! That can even make me cry. Not silly at all. I understand. We all feel like Paul is an old friend!

Sadie: I never really liked "Silly Love Songs" that much either! LOL! And "Give My Regards To Broad Street" Was a campy movie!! But, I enjoyed a few parts and just the fact that it was from Paul!! ;-) Yes I agree, I also think "Hope For The Future" would have been better with a video that's less over the top!! It's a Good Song and wish it would have been in a video more suited for the song! I agree with what you said about "Appreciate" and "Early Days" too!! You're not being overly critical about this! It's your opinion. And I see what you mean! It's just what Paul chose to do at the time. He does what He wants to do! ;-) He Can't please everyone when he does something He wants to do. ;-) You're Welcome for the Lyrics!  :-)

Virginia Abreu de Paula: It's hard for anyone to remember everything about a movie especially that you seen it a long time ago!  ;-) I also, didn't like the way the movie ended. It DID seem like a long video clip to promote Paul McCartney singing new versions of early classics and some new songs! LOL ;-) But I agree, I enjoyed a few parts of the movie and just the fact that it was from Paul and seeing Paul was good enough for me. :-) Those thoughts you had while watching the movie didn't sound silly at all!! A lot of people get dream like thoughts when watching movies or listening to an album. Yes, I wish it had a Better Ending to the movie too!! Oh well. A lot of people were totally fascinated by Ziggy Stardust! LOL! David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust Fantasy Character he took on in that part of his career, had a cult like following!! ;-)

Sadie: Yes, to me it just looks silly on Paul!! LOL!! I agree about the strange sensations too! Not Silly at all! And YES, we All feel like Paul is an old friend!!  :-)
