What's funny to me is that a few years ago I said that John would have rapped if he were still around to make music, but now I'm thinking Paul ((might)) be doing some rap verses with Kanye. That's something I NEVER would have imagined! Hahaha.

I think what bothers most people is that Kanye is a self-centered attention seeking narcissistic self aggrandazing and self proclaimed "genius" who makes a fool out of himself because he makes himself sound so important like he's some kind of black Jesus. And that he's allegedly collaborating with cherubic, silly love songwriting, cute (former) Beatle Paul! So many adjectives :P

I Certainly Agree!!!! And I also think John Legend would have been a more respectable choice, as others here thought too!

Paul is a box of surprises. He plans things in silence, but then, one day le show his work to us.  Things we could have never imagined. Good things! I even compare him with Mineiros, people from the state I was born. I am Mineira. We are famous for working in silence. But...working and letting people saying Oh!!!!.  You see, who could have imagined that Paul had released a fantastic album only for USSR? Well, he did. I got a copy. His rendition to Sommertime is awsome, as good as Janis Joplin's.  Who could have imagined he would record a video playing guitar for Allen Ginsberg?  That would be something for John. Well, he not only paticipated in the video. He also played for Ginsberg alive.  He is much more that silly  love songs composer. He is a poet!  An Artist with beautiful paintings. In fact I do regard him as true artist. He is  a beatle more than a Wing. It means he is full of brand new ideas all the time. :) Amazing man.

Thank you for the link! I was looking for it as I promised to discuss it with a friend of mine. He cames to my place twice a week only to speak in English so he won't forget. it's good for both of us. He likes music and he likes Beatles, so sometimes we only study the lyrics of their songs and sing along. He likes Bob Dylan too. So today we are going to listen to Julie Driscoll singing The Wheels on Fire. Yes...Julie Driscoll...almost travellng on time. But now I our next meeting will the The Ballad of the Skeletons. Wow! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Another similarity Paul has with Mineiros: reserved.  Doesn't talk openly about his private life. Now and then he lets us  have a glimpse on it. But he closes very fast. Other times he answers some questions in such a way we can't be sure if that is a yes or a no. :) It could be both. I understand cause he is protecting himself and his family and friends. Thats very much like Mineiros. :) Once my father asked his sister how much she was earned working for the city hall. Her answer: Somtimes a little more, sometimes a little less. LOL.

As a coincidence just last night I found an old interview he gave to Playboy in the eighties. New to me. They asked him about his fortune...and he refused to say, stating that was private...LOL. Just like a mineiro would answer. But there is something he may be different. I typical Mineiro would never answer " I am fine." Usually we answer: " so so"...Paul always says he is fine.

Possibly because saying "I am fine" doesn't mean much. It's only what everybody answer, even when they are not fine. But I imagine Paul is always fine, he is very positive.
